The ABOUT section. (because I haven't figured out how to make a tab yet...WE'RE GETTING THERE)

HELLLLLLLLLLLO and welcome to my page. My blog...who am i?? LETS FIND OUT.

It's been a hot minute since i wanted to start writing a blog, I just needed some guidance on how to actually start the process. You're always hearing "everyone in the frickin world" is starting a blog, but seriously, kudos to everyone that does because I never knew how much work it is...and I'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN. That being said, I'm always up for suggestions and basically guidance of how to actually do it...HELP A GIRL OUT PLEASE.

My name...alee bree gee. Also known more commonly as Alyse. I am a 30 year old pediatric oncology nurse, living my best life in the nation's capital. I'm a happy go lucky kind of girl (majority of the time...we all have moments), all thanks to being surrounded by the world's greatest family, friends, coworkers, you name it.

First off, there's my beautiful little family - hubby Alex who works from home, and is the smartest man i know...except he cheers for the Toronto Maple Leafs. That, I will never ever be able to figure out. Apart from that, he is the most kind, generous, supportive, loyal, loving, funny, and best dancer of a husband one could ever imagine. OH YEAH...he has dimples <3

January 14th 2017 - The Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Ottawa Senators 4-1. We also got engaged <3

Our puppy Bear...who isn't really a puppy because he's almost three, and is part Lab, German Shepherd and MASTIFFFFFF woooooooof. We adopted him three days before our honeymoon (YES, my parents are gems and took him under their wings for two weeks while we toured Italy and ate pizza everyday...sorry bud) from the Ottawa Dog Rescue. He is actually the most perfect furry companion in the whole world. Can't take credit because he was one when we adopted him, but he is so well behaved, calm, loving, and the best big brother to his new little sister.

BIG BOY BEAR doing what he loves best

Then there's our beautiful baby girl, who was born August 18th (2018 at 8:01...can you say luckyyyyyyy). I could write paragraphs and paragraphs but I figured that's also the point of this blog so we'll save that one for another posting. Probably tomorrow.

Baby girl Madelyn Rose (7lbs, 4oz)

I've also been known for the following:

*4:45am gym club - your body does adapt to this ungodly hour trust me

*Eating yogurt - preferably skyr because who doesn't love a good thick yogurt

*THE OTTAWA SENATORS. and hockey. and basketball. basically SPORTS.

*Lululemon. Need I say more?

*Eating any kind of fruit (except dragonfruit and papaya...sorry just NO)

*Watching GOT, sticking it out with Grey's Anatomy and bawling during This Is Us

*I started drinking coffee at 30...yes after my first baby...now I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT

Just to name a few.

Why I created this blog?

I have a fantastic job...in my opinion the (second) best job in the world. It is emotionally, psychologically, and physically demanding. There are days I come home full of joy. The days where that special patient rings the MDU bell upon their completion of treatment for cancer, and runs down the hallway, high fiving everyone as their smiles light up the room. With tears streaming down their face because, after years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds of living and breathing the hospital corridors, they are DONE. There are days I leave the hospital, and it takes every ounce of me to make it outside the doors, and then just lose myself in the front seat of my car. Life can be so unfair. i think I will leave it there, because I'll be doing a blog later on going into detail about my wonderful job, and what I'm looking forward to/and absolutely petrified to return to.

BUT BACK TO WHAT I WAS GETTING AT

Up until August 18th 2018, being a pediatric oncology RN was my job. That day, my world changed. This moment was the one I had been looking forward to all my life. The day I got to be a mother. I want to use this platform to learn from other incredible mothers. I want to hear and share all the stories, good and bad. I want to be able to help others when they need it most. I want to lean on others when I need it most. Social media has become such a large community, and let's face it an important necessity in day to day life. I can't wait to document this fulfilling, yet sometimes exhausting journey called motherhood with you, and am always up for new friends or a chat. Leave a comment below and I won't leave you hanging.
